Enjoying a day on the course.

In 2003 we lost two great people to cancer.  Gary Neher, age 67, to lung cancer and his son John Neher, age 33, to Nodular Melanoma.  Gary lost his ten-month battle on October 26, 2003 and John lost his three-year battle on August 23, 2003.  Their love of sports took them to great lenghts in their lives.  Earning the respect of fellow teammates and friends alike.

Again this year in memory of their great spirit and love for sports, the 7th Annual Neher Memorial Golf Scramble will be held.  Our goal is to raise money for both lung cancer and melanoma research.  Lung and melanoma cancer affects many people of all ages and races.  It is with our efforts that we can help make a difference by raising money for further research so maybe some day there will be a cure.

For those of you who have supported the cause over the past know how fun this day is. Even if you don't golf, it is still a good time to come out and hit the ball around and socialize with friends to support a good cause. A great day of rememberence filled with friends and fun.

Philosophy

How you climb up the mountain is just as important as how you get down the mountain.

And, so it is with life, which for many of us becomes one big gigantic test followed by one big gigantic lesson.

In the end, it all comes down to one word, grace.

It’s how you accept winning and losing, good luck and bad luck, the darkness and the light.
